Now that the gravel paddocks are officially DONE, ponies are off grass for the winter. Poor ponies. In an effort to make sure they do not go too long without roughage, myself, and a boarder have decided to team up to provide a mid-day 3rd meal.
But because "mid day 3rd meal" is just a mouthful and way too boring, I've deemed it the "Taco Bell" meal (as a spoof on their 4th meal campaign). And now we're all calling it the Taco Bell meal.
So if you hear me mention it- no, my horses are not eating burritos, but they ARE getting extra hay. And for the record, I do not advocate feeding equines (or humans, really, unless under dire emergencies) anything from Taco Bell.
And for my own sanity, let me record the following:
Tuesday/Thursday: Ally feeds all
Monday/Wednesday: Boarder feeds all
Fri, Sat & Sun: Ally feeds her own, shares w/ BO.
