WE TROTTED!!!! ;D Super excited to announce that the boy no longer has back issues...he's fine!! YAY!! He is so worth the year and a half of healing time it took to make him better! The funny thing about Cabo is that if left to poke around, he'll find things to shy at, and be tense. It'll then cause the rider to want to stiffen and slow him down, which then makes him nervous and even more jumpy. Cabo needs the exact opposite. GO FORWARD, darn it! I pushed his little rear all around the arena yesterday. Holy smokes I am out of shape and he's got quite the trot, LOL, barely have to post because he'll push you right out of the tack. But we went forward. and i urged him forward. and he settled right down and actually got pretty lazy. this is going to be so much freakin fun Hopefully I'll get to take him outside this weekend and get some pictures of him tacked up in his english outfit

Hee hee I'm having WAY too much fun with this horse!!!!!
I took him out today (again) and he was just so good. No spooking at all. A little quick at first, but he settles in. Still stiff, but what do you expect after 1.5 years of doing nothing?
He needs a little refresher about loosening his jaw- he's acting hard mouthed, but its ok, because even during this ride he was starting to get tuned in. Just needs a little tune up, so i'm leaving him alone right now.
FUN FUN FUN!

We cantered! ;D
And rode outside...less exciting but did consist of walking up and down the driveway and in the grass a little.
