I haven't done much with Cassie, but I just wanted to post that she seems to be doing really well, emotionally. Either I'm misreading depression or she's actually calm, collected, and rational. Even a little bit lazy. I do think she is a little bored at the moment- she seems awfully interested in me, and is on her bestest appy behavior. Even when we play circus (aka free longeing 2 horses at 1 time)...she's the one that keeps the forward pace as I chase Cabo, the laziest Morgan ever. Cassie=good girl...= suspicious owner. Oops, did I just jinx myself? Princess is learning how to wear a nylon halter. I think she did wear one when she was with Rachel, but since then I was using rope halters...and then one day had a nylon halter...and it was the scariest, horse-eating thing ever. So you know what that means...lets play with the nylon halter! LOL Equine torture, I tell ya! SO I guess we should get back to doing something. I dunno, I'm not in a real rush- I kind of like this cool-Cassie, I could get used to having a 'tude-less Appy mare. But one must ask...is there really such a thing?

Cassie not have an tude? IMPOSSIBLE!!! I will believe that when I see it! lol The guy who works at the barn still complains about her. He would clean out her water bucket and fill it up with fresh clean water and she would look at him, turn around and take a big crap in her newly cleaned and filled water bucket!
Yeah she wore a nylon halter when she was at my barn. I just used the one you brought her in. She was okay with it but I think that if I had a rope halter we would have not had so many struggles and if I would have thought to ask you to come out and help. I think I took to timid of approach with her and she figured out how to take advantage of me when I wasnt paying attention. She is good at that!
Glad to hear that she seems to be healing from her loss or at least not letting you know she is still hurting.
How you holding up? Its been 3 years and I am still grieving, it is still fresh in my memory like it was yesterday. Let me know if you ever wanna talk or if you wanna come play with a very spoiled 3 year old who is ready to get on her way to being a riding horse! I am gonna need some help with her ground manners (I am the first to admit that I have let her get away with lots because of how life was when I bought her and what happened after I bought her) I need some lessons on teaching a 3 year old how to lounge and respect my space, I am way to soft on her and she knows it!
