On Friday I found out I am about 11-12 weeks along in the lovely process of procreating..... I shall find out more when I go in for an ultrasound here in the next week or so. Life just got very interesting! Good thing I am able to keep Ally, but now I wont be starting her until next winter when I am all healed and recovered. And here I was telling everyone I was never gonna procreate. Some good that was. Fingers crossed its a girl. My soon to be hubby has 2 boys and 1 girl already. More to come....... Is it possible to be scarcited (scared/excited) ??

Aww, congrats, Rachel! Yes, I think all those emotions are completely normal- though I couldnt be certain cuz I've never been uhm, pregnant. But I'm sure others will say it is completely normal!!!
Times like this I wish I lived closer than stupid Kirkland and boarded closer than Monroe. If I were still boarding down your way, I'd offer to start Ally for you. Ally for Ally. That way, when you are ready to ride, you will have a nice, sane horse. I'm sure you will be even more protective of yourself once you have the little one- so maybe it would be a good thing to try to find a friend you trust to work with Ally the horse.
Good luck and let me know if you need anything!

Its slowly been sinking in. Little by little I become more excited and cant wait to meet our creation. Its a completely new experience for me but this is Robs 4th time. So he is super cool about it and knows what to expect. Which scares me even more as I know I am going to make tons of mistakes and he will be right there beside me coaching me and supporting me. How many first timers can say they have someone like that? ;D My best friend who lives in LA will be up here in May celebrating her birthday and her babies 1st bday. She is planning my shower, which I want to be a my little pony theme or baby pony theme. I would love to have Ally started and ready for me when next winter comes around but I am in no hurry. I am sure she would love to have more time being a horse. I may give you a shout when the time comes to get her going, it would be nice to have someone I know how they train, and trust to either be my ground person or to put her first few rides on her. I will think more on that after this next month passes. I have a horse coming in for a 30 day refresher tomorrow. I had originally put his first ride on him and 120 days about 2 1/2 years ago. The guy who bought him wants him to be solid after 1 year off. Fears of me taking a ground hitting are racing through Robs head. I should have more of an idea by then as to how far along I am and know if the DR thinks riding is an okay idea. But I am still cleaning stalls. I need some barn time and exercise too.... hehe We werent going to tell anyone in our family but we had to tell Robs mom. She is excited and wants to go shopping now!! Dont know when we are going to tell the kids or our parents. But we are ready for a mixture of emotions and reactions. Who would have thunk I would end up being a mommy after all?!?

If you think horses are expensive, wait until you have the baby. LOL

I have gotten lucky with my filly. She hasnt caused me any vet bills yet.... Knock on wood! And board is super cheap $95 a month for full care..... Hay, grain, shots, supplements and worming.... I am taking it all in stride and hoping for the best... I know what you mean though, I have tons of friends who recently had babies and am getting lots of advice from them and support. I just hope its healthy and doesnt need anything special right away. I pray the morning sickness goes away soon! I would think one would be anorexic by now, geeze!!!

I have my first DR apt on Monday. I think its just a overall exam and dont know if an ultrasound will be done but my fingers are crossed they decide to do one. I really want to see how far along I am and get an exact due date. Woo Hoo!!! I am excited. We told my parents, brother, sister and grandma on Saturday. All but my brother and dad seem excited. My dad doesnt like kids (go figure he helped produce 3) and my brother isnt one for showing emotions. So far my mom and her mom have opened there big mouths to just about everyone on there side of the family. We still havent told Robs kids or his parents but will soon, dont know when but we will. Well we will have to as I will be showing soon. hehe Fingers crossed for an ultrasound on Monday....
